Francesca Skene
Geotechnical Intern

Francesca is currently pursuing her M.S. in Geological Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. She has one year of research experience focusing on the triggering of postfire debris flows and flash floods. She is new to the geotechnical consulting industry and is excited to apply herself to a variety of projects to expand on what she has learned in the classroom. Her skillset includes programming in Python, postfire debris flow research, and processing monitoring data. Her passion lies in the study of landslides and rockfall triggered by rainfall, seismicity, or anthropogenic factors, and she is excited to gain exposure to the mitigation of these geohazards both through analysis and in the field.
