Gerry Heslin, PE, GE
President and Principal Engineer Gerry is the President and Principal Engineer of CCILT. He is the firm's primary point-of-contact, and is authorized to enter CCILT into contracts and negotiate work scopes and budgets. His background is in geotechnical engineering analysis and design in support of landslide and rockfall mitigation, roadways, bridge foundations, dams, levees, and other civil infrastructure. Gerry specializes in the design and construction of earth retention structures, including MSE retaining walls, soldier pile and tieback walls, and ground anchor systems. He also excels in constructability evaluation and engineering oversight, and inspection during construction for landslide stabilization projects. Gerry has been previously approved by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) as an Independent Consultant for Part 12 dam safety inspections. His expertise includes risk-based studies for dam and levee safety projects, dam and levee safety inspections, stability analyses, seepage control, filter evaluations, dam and levee design, dam safety modifications including spillway modifications and fish passage structures, and construction quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC). He has extensive experience participating in PFMA/cPFMA reviews, leading major dam safety modification alternatives evaluations, and completing risk assessments to identify important features in dam safety modification projects. |
