Mahrooz joined CCI-LT as a geotechnical engineer in 2023. Her areas of expertise include slope stability analysis and numerical modeling for dams, levees, landslides, and other critical infrastructure. Mahrooz received her PhD from Oregon State University where her doctoral work focused on evaluating the long-term efficiency of horizontal drains for landslide mitigation. Mahrooz helped develop a numerical solution for evaluating the timing and efficacy of drawdown related to horizontal drains.
